Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. Romans 8: 5
What I heard from Jesus today is: Does the Holy Spirit live in you?
What I got from the Lord today is perhaps the most important question for you! Why? Because without the Holy Spirit living in you, you have no way to break the power of our human sinful nature. Bishop Sandy Millar, the founder of Alpha course, told all our 1,700 participants of the International Alpha in London last month, "We need to be filled with the Holy Spirit because only the Holy Spirit can break the power of sin, not us."
So, the truth is we as human beings do not have the power to break the power of sin, only the Holy Spirit! Let me ask you again, does the Holy Spirit live in you? You need to pray now to ask the Holy Spirit to live in you and fill you so that you can live according to the Holy Spirit(vv. 4 -5)and you can be controlled by the Holy Spirit(vv. 6-9) and you can be led by the Holy Spirit (v. 14).
The word "Holy Spirit" appears 20 times from verse 2 to verse 27. We all need to be filled with the Holy Spirit!
Come Holy Spirit, come! Come and fill us, pour down your fresh anointing to us so that we can have you to break the power of sin and that we can live a lifestyle of Christlikeness. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
