Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4

Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us,
set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit
guaranteeing what is to come. 2 Corinthians 1: 21-22
What I heard from Jesus today is: Don't worry, you got the seal!
The church at Corinth was at big trouble. They had quite a number of spiritual and ethical problems as we have learned from 1 Corinthians and they had a group of false leaders and messengers who continued to speak against Paul personally, trying to undermine his leadership and authority and to distort his message. And this group of people were getting big and trying to get more people to be in their camp. Have you experienced that in your church? Do you know how painful that could be to Christians in Corinth as they were in confuse and pain because of the dissension.
Paul told them two things mainly:
1. It was fine with all those kind of troubles because they learned from that and could use that experience to comfort other people in distress if they could get over with that through God's personal comfort.
2. Paul told them not to worry about him or to worry about anything because they got the seal of ownership from God, they were anointed and with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit everything is guaranteed. Is that wonderful!
You need to pray for your home church daily so that this won't happen to your church. And even when that happens you know what to do to protect you church and not let Satan to make use of false leaders to destroy your church!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for that seal, your anoint and your guarantee. Help us to trust and to stand firm in you. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
