Fourteen years later I went up again to Jerusalem, this time with Barnabas. I took Titus along also. Galatians 2: 1

What I heard from Jesus today is: Need to find your mission partners!

Verse one shows the wonderful and miraculous fruits of three generations of coaches/mentors. Barnabas was Paul's coach/mentor in the very early stage and Paul was Titus' coach/mentor. Dr. Terry Walling gives a very simple and clear explanation to the difference of coaches and mentors. He says, "Coaches takes out and mentors put in." It is the job of a coach to pull out the potentials inside someone. It is the job of a mentor to put in knowledge to someone. A discipler should be both coach and mentor.

Titus was noted in verses 1 and 3 where Paul writes of journeying to Jerusalem with Barnabas, accompanied by Titus. He was then dispatched to Corinth, Greece, where he successfully reconciled the Christian community there with Paul, its founder. Titus was later left on the island of Crete to help organize the Church. According to Eusebius of Caesarea in the Ecclesiastical History, he served as the first bishop of Crete.

To extend God's Kingdom we really need to find our mission partners. We need to have a coach then be able to coach others so that God can use us to create a three to four generations of coaches. In a easier term the first level of a coach is a "discipler". You need to be a discipler even though most Christians do not have a discipler!

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to find our mission partners and be willing to prepare ourselves to be a discipler and coach later to raise up two to three generations of coaches. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
