What I heard from Jesus today is: Joy is the checkmark!
Jesus asked me to count the total number of the word "Joy", "glad" and "rejoice" and I can find 16 time in the four chapters of Philippians. Paul says "rejoice" is a safeguard for those Christians in Philipi.
Wow! "Rejoice" is a safeguard for us as Christians. What is a safeguard? According to Oxford dictionary, a safeguard is the thing that serves as a protection from harm, risk or danger. Like cycling without a helmet, boating without a life-vest or fighting a war without a bulletproof vest.
If you cannot have joy and rejoice daily, then you are in great danger! The reasons for Paul to rejoice were different from before he knew Christ. His purpose, his direction, his goal and everything changed. And the changing of all those things gave him joy!
Do you have joy today? If you do not have joy today, then it is a checkmark for you to reveal what happen in your life so that you can experience the joy in Christ again!
Don't forget:
A joyful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverb 17: 22
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to rejoice everyday. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
