and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
"The kingdom of the world has
become the kingdom of our
Lord and of his Christ,
and he will reign for ever and ever."
Revelation 11: 15
What I heard from Jesus today is: Total victory in Christ!
What I received today from Jesus are two important messages:
1. Total victory in Christ: The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah. I have sung and conducted this chorus many, many times. And every time the Lord reminds me of his total victory against death. Just like the two witnesses in this chapter, no one can kill them no matter what. But in God's time for them to die, they die. And in God's for them to rise and goes up to heaven in a cloud while their enemies looked on, they rise and go! Wow, "if God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8: 31)
2. The hardness of human's hearts: Even with what happened to the two witnesses, most people will not change. It is so sad when I see the hardness of people's hearts. Only the blood of Jesus can soften our hearts!
3. Schola Cantorum Emmanuel has been rehearsing excerpts from the Messiah since two months ago. We are going to have a concert in memory of my spiritual father, Rev. Dr. John Stott on December 17, 2011 8p.m. at Richmond Emmanuel. When Uncle John was dying on July 27, 2011 he had his two best friends with him playing Handel's Messiah. And when he passed away, it was on "I know that my redeemer's liveth"! I see a total victory in Christ through John Stott's life!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know and experience that in you we have full victory against any of the devil's attack and discouragement. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
