But his father refused and said, "I know, my son, I know. He too will become a people, and he too will become great. Nevertheless, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his descendants will become a group of nations." He blessed them that day and said, "In your name will Israel pronounce this blessing: 'May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.'" So he put Ephraim ahead of Manasseh. Genesis 48: 19-20
What I got from Jesus today is: How to unlock the power of blessings?
What I got from Jesus today is a very modern question and a very simple question. Two days ago I asked our younger son Athanasius, "What's the password of your computer? I need to unlock it to do something." He gave me three times, three pass words that he thought was right. But, the computer could not be unlocked. So, I gave him the computer and he typed in so naturally and unlocked it. He forgot to add two numbers after the four numbers he gave me!
So, what is the password to unlock the power of blessings. This chapter shows us the password is: GOD
After Jacob was revived and resumed to have an intimate personal relationship with God he exercised the power of blessings:
1. He knew God gave him the gift and honor to bless and he is willing to bless.
2. Because of his intimate personal relationship with God he knew who to bless first even his son Joseph who was the prime minister of Egypt thought he was wrong.
Do you know this password and use this password that is your daily intimate personal relationship with God to unlock the power of blessings. You know what would happen when that happen? You will be a channel of God's blessing that God can use you to bless many people. Your thinking, saying, doing and everything will bring blessings to many people. And when you pray for people they will be blessed, when you lay hands on them they will be blessed even more...
There are so many people including keep giving people cursing through their saying, badmouthing, negative thinking bringing lots of hurts, dissensions, anger, disunity, separation and destruction. I pray and hope that you know how to unlock the power of blessings and to bless not to curse!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know how to unlock the power of blessing and be willing to be a channel of your blessing. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
