"Bring the bull to the front of the Tent of Meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. Slaughter it ..."

"Take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. Slaughter it ..."

"Take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head. Slaughter it..."

Exodus 29: 10, 15, 19

What I got from Jesus today is: How sinful we really are!

Jesus opened my eyes to see pictures as describes here in this chapter of Aaron and his four sons to lay their hands on the bull and the two rams and slaughtered them as signs to take away their sins. It's actually four kinds of offerings here:
1. Sin Offering (vv. 10-14)
2. Burnt Offering (vv. 15-18)
3. Consecration Offering (vv. 19-21)
4. Wave Offering (vv. 22-28)

One young bull and two rams without blemish: The ceremony for consecration required animals intended for sacrifice. Consecration couldn't happen without shedding sacrificial blood.

Unleavened bread, unleavened cakes
: The ceremony for consecration required bread for fellowship with God. Consecration couldn't happen without true fellowship with God.

You know what Jesus told me. He told me the complication of doing all those offerings was to help God's people to know how sinful we really are. The laying of hands to the bull and the rams was to transfer their sins to those animals. That is the real meaning of Jesus died for our sins and we need to let Jesus to take away our sins. You do not have a way to bear your own sin and we have to lay our hands on Jesus daily so that He takes away our sin and His blood cleanse us daily.

But, lots of Christians do not understand this so they deal with sin alone, and so we fail. Remember, if you have any sinful desire you cannot get rid of, ask Jesus to take it away for you, repent and let His blood to cleanse you and protects you.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to understand how sinful we really are and we are unable to deal with our own sins. Lord Jesus, take away our sins and cleanse us with your blood. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
