Bible Study
Jesus was referring to an event and a picture (I have chosen three painting above)describes in Genesis 28: 10-22. The famous Jacob's ladder passage. Jesus wants to tell Nathanael that he and the other disciples will see heaven opened, with the angels of God going up and down upon the son of man if he is willing to follow Him.
It's somewhat like what N.T. Wright describes how Jesus wants to tell Nathanael, "If you follow me, you'll be watching what it looks like when heaven and earth are open to each other. You won't necessarily see the angels themselves, but you'll see things happening which show that they're there all right.' N.T. Wright then says, "When you're with Jesus, it is as though you're in the house of God, the Temple itself, with God's angels coming and going, and God's own presence there beside you."
You will be able to see that! Have you seen that yet?
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to God as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: You will be able to see!
Wow! Praise the Lord that I have a similar experience today. For the past four months quite a number of brothers and sisters from Richmond Emmanuel Church have been praying for my neighbour Margaret and her husband Michael to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior and for Margaret to be healed from her cancer.
This afternoon around 5:30p.m. Michelle and I successfully led Margaret to say the prayer to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior. Thanks to Sandy Yeung and May Leung's unconditional love to Margaret helping her in any possible way they can offer. Thanks to my Evangelist123 group of three with Eddy Mak and Simon Cheung using the Evangelist123 card to pray for Margaret during our Saturday 9a.m. prayer meeting and our daily prayer for the M & M. And thanks especially to our Saturday 9a.m. prayer group of those more than 30 brothers and sisters that we all know how urgent it is to pray for M & M since February.
Today I see the door of heaven opened when Margaret received Jesus as Lord and Savior and I saw angels were rejoicing at her turning back to Jesus and willing to follow Him!
Let's say it joyfully and loudly, "GOAL"!
Let's try our best to help Margaret from now on to know how to be a mature disciple of Christ and pray that Michael will receive Jesus as Lord and Savior soon! I think this day won't be far away!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for leading Margaret to receive you as her Lord and Savior. May you pour down your blood to heal her sickness and that she can become a mature disciple of you. And may you prepare Michael's heart that he won't miss the chance to receive you as his Lord and Savior too. Thank you for giving me an opportunity to see the joyful scene in heaven when this soul is being saved today. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
