John wants to open our spiritual eyes to see who is the real good Shepherd and who are those false shepherds leading us astray. There are so many we as human beings wants to follow but they just come in to steal, kill and destroy.
N.T. Wright says:
The definition of the true shepherd is that he isn't in it for his own profit. In fact, the supreme test of what he's in it for will come when he's faced with a choice. A predator appears - a lion, a wolf or a bear. You can tell the difference between the true shepherd and the false one by what they do. The false shepherd saves his prospects at the cost of his reputation. The true shepherd shows who he is by being prepared to die for the sheep.
Your only chance not to be steal, kill and destroy is to be as close as you can with the true good Shepherd, Jesus Christ our Lord. And your most important job and purpose of life is to lead more people to be as close as you can with the true good Shepherd, Jesus Christ our Lord, nothing more and nothing less!
Only Jesus!
Have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Only Jesus! 有主滿足!
Today the whole world knows what does it means by "the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy"!
I am so sad and shock after reading and watching all those news about the Denver shooting that a 24 years old medical student shot dead 12 people and injured more than 50 in a cinema showing "Batman".
Presiden Obama said today is a day of darkness and challenge. Indeed today is such a day! No one knows the motive of the shooter but what we know is the Devil goes in to this young man's soul to steal, kill and destroy so that he receive the image of "his father"(John 8: 44, You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.)
To have Jesus as your good shepherd, follow Him daily is your only chance to live a blessed and full life!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to listen to you and follow you daily as our true and only good Shepherd. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
