The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,100 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,100 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!

Today's Reading: Matthew 7: 13-23

Bible Study

This passage tells us whether we are real Christians, disciples of Jesus, or we are just like many with a name tag "Christian". Are you interested in knowing whether you are a real Christian?

N.T. Wright says:
Jesus ends the great Sermon on the Mount with a set of warning signs. This passage has three warnings, coming in quick succession like road-signs on a motorway:
1. The narrow gate - Jesus sets his face against any idea that you can simply 'go with the flow', allowing the crowd to set the pace and the direction.  You really have to want to get in through this gate.  If you just drift, allowing the current to take you where it will, you'll miss it.  But this gate leads to life, and the other sort all lead to destruction.

2. The fruit - As soon as you hear a little voice saying 'maybe Jesus didn't mean it - surely he can't have been that strict - maybe it'll come right in the end no matter what we do', you need the next warning.  The next warning, in line with biblical instructions, is against 'false prophets'.
In the Old Testament, the test for true and false prophets was: wait and see!  Jesus has a more graphic, and perhaps a quicker, method of detection.  Look at the life of the person who is offering you advice.  Think of it like a tree.  Can you see healthy, tasty fruit on this tree?  Can you see other people being genuinely nourished by it?  Or is it, in fact, producing a crop of lies, immorality and greed?

3. The relationship with Jesus - The 'fruit' cannot simply be showy displays of apparent spiritual power.  False prophets can often produce that sort of thing.  What counts is something deeper, something more personal. Mighty deeds are not a final indication of whether someone really belongs to Jesus or not.  There are some who will have done them, but who will turn out to be 'evil workers'. What counts will be knowing Jesus - or rather, being known by him.

What have you got from this passage and N.T. Wright's excellent and clear explanation?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Show me the fruit!

Jesus asks us a very important and personal question today,
"SHOW ME THE FRUIT!"

Are you those who just follow the flow, listening to wrong voices and doing what everyone is doing but not living in a lifestyle of Christlikeness? Oh, having idols at home is fine they are just pieces of arts; going to casino, playing Majong, gambling is fine, they are just normal lifestyle, being a person full of anger, bitterness, insecurity, impatient is just fine, we are just human beings...

It's not just fine my dear brothers and sisters! Do you know why?  Because if you really have a daily intimate personal relationship with Jesus then you should be more and more Christlike! You should be able to show Jesus and other people the fruit, the fruit of the Holy Spirit, the fruit that when people see you they see Jesus in you, nothing more, nothing less!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to show the fruit to you and other people that we are truly your faithful and loving disciples.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
