This passage is to show us how the long waiting of Simeon and Anna for the Messiah were being fulfilled. The whole scene of the Nativity and this chapter gathered a great cloud of witness surrounding and focusing on Jesus.
How can we follow the good example of Simeon and Anna to prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus each day to be with us. The wonderful "being" with Jesus!
We can learn from Simeon's example that there are three steps to make this happen:
1. Filled with the Holy Spirit (v.25)
2. Revealed by the Holy Spirit (v. 26)
3. Moved by the Holy Spirit (v.27)
How do these three steps help you from now on to prepare your heart to wait for Jesus to be with you everyday?
How can the Holy Spirit reveals to you everyday so that you are being moved by the Holy Spirit to do the thing God wants you to do, just as what Simeon did.
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Three steps of the work of the Holy Spirit
What I received today from Jesus is the three simple steps of the work of the Holy Spirit helping us to enjoy the presence of Jesus and to work for a real Kingdom work.
How are you going to remember these three steps that you can be filled by the Holy Spirit, revealed by the Holy Spirit and moved by the Holy Spirit each day to extend God's mighty Kingdom?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to practice these three steps well so that it can become our daily lifestyle to experience the presence of Jesus and to do what Jesus wants us to do. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
