The easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week. What you need to do is very simple. Choose one dayThe easiest way is to take one hour slot for the whole week to pray for me, my family and my ministry, remembering the ministry of ACiC(ACiC has two Networks: ACiC, Anglican Coalition in Canada and AI, Asian Initiative). You may use the whole hour in prayer or you can still do you work in your office but use as much time as you can to pray and the other time work prayerfully that hour to pray for our ministry. This campaign is also to teach you that you need somebody to pray for you daily. I have been prayed for hourly the past 1,200 days and I have never experienced this kind of peace and protection before. It's just beyond words can express. If I did not listen and obey to Jesus call 1,200 days ago to start this prayer movement, I think I would be pulled into darkness and discouragement already! I deeply believe that this is a way to draw as many participation as we can in prayers. I encourage you to participate. We need you to join us! Trust in the power of prayers!

Bible Study

Today's passage gives us Jesus' warning about unexpected trap. What is this kind of trap?
     N.T. Wright says:
People want to load you with the cares of this life; and, as Jesus warned, with dissipation and drunkenness, literal and metaphorical.  They want to wear you down, to make you think you're odd and stupid.  Why study an old book, they say, that's never done anyone any good?
The answer is the same for us as it was for the Jerusalem Christians nearly a generation after Jesus.  keep alert.  This is what you were told to expect.  Patience is the key.  Pray for strength to keep on your feet.  There are times when your eyes will be shutting with tiredness, spiritual, mental, emotional and physical, and when you will have to prop them open.  This is what it's about: not an exciting battle, with adrenalin flowing and banners flying, but the steady tread, of prayer and hope and scripture and sacrament and witness, day by day and week by week.  This is what counts; this is why patience is a fruit of the Spirit.  Read the story again.  Remind one another of what Jesus said. And keep awake.

Are you able to keep awake so that you won't step into those unexpected traps?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

Spiritual Journal

What I heard from Jesus today is: Unexpected traps!

Today Jesus gives us a serious warning of what is to come - unexpected traps. I have seen so many Christians including good leaders stepped into those unexpected traps and can't get away.

Those traps are various but have the same purpose - to trap us so that we are in bondage, like a slave serving a cruel master. It can be the breakdown of a marriage, spending too much time and energy in something like what Jesus says dissipation and drunkenness or any kind of addiction.

Do you aware that kind of unexpected traps? It's difficult, unless you have a good and intimate personal relationship with Jesus. That's why Jesus says we need to pray that we may have strength to escape those traps. So, those traps can also be a sudden crisis comes to you, your nation being attacked and overturned, you get cancer or a stroke, you got fired. Can you name some of those traps that you stepped in before?  How can you be more careful so that you can avoid stepping in those traps again?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Open our eyes so that we can see those traps and won't step in. Lead us to know and live out your secret to avoid those unexpected traps. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
