DAY 366 - Jesus Heals Leslie! Praise the Lord! (請按此處收聼廣東話Cantonese podcast click here)

Thanks to your prayers for Leslie! Please continue to pray for Leslie!

Ignatius and I went to Vancouver Children's Hospital to pray for him after I landed in the airport Friday afternoon. As his father Kenny told me yesterday, everything suddenly become normal Saturday afternoon and he is going to live!

When Michelle and I went to pray for him yesterday, we saw a different picture in the room. It is full of life and hope now! Praise the Lord! And the hospital staff gave him a colourful blanket to keep him warm and a teddy bear to hold. Wonderful!

The first four pictures were taken last Friday afternoon. The last three pictures were taken yesterday(Sunday, Day of Pentecost). See the difference?

 Please continue to pray for him. He needs your prayers!

Bible Study

     "Wow! How could this happen? How did you do that?" That was what the people asked when they saw how Peter and John healed the crippled beggar. And Peter said, "What's the big deal. Do you think it is me, it is John who did that? No, it is Jesus. Jesus healed him. And, you guys killed Jesus, the author of life."

    Peter and John could claim how powerful they were so that they could have many followers. But, they got themselves into trouble because they told the people it was Jesus who did that. They got every chance to lift up the name of Jesus so that people could be saved and healed. 

    How can you witness the power of Jesus when you exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit to bring healing? How can you tell people it is not you but Jesus? How can you lift high the Name of Jesus all the time of your life?

                 

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

Spiritual Journal

     What I heard from Jesus today is: Jesus heals Leslie! Praise the Lord!

    The topic yesterday is "Be ready to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit". When I was reading today's passage, praying to Jesus of what He wanted me to write I got the message above. I don't think this is a co-incidence but an act of God to tell all of you who have been praying for Leslie the past week that our prayers are being answered and Leslie is being healed!

    Within 24 hours after Ignatius and I prayed for Leslie, something happened suddenly. I asked Kenny what had happened yesterday when Michelle and I went to the hospital to pray for Leslie. He said everything suddenly became normal starting Saturday afternoon. And, that was the only time since a week ago that Leslie was not in critical condition. I just called Kenny and he said Leslie is getting better and better now. 

    Did Iggy do that? Did I do that? Did anyone do that? No, it is Jesus! What Iggy and I did was to be willing to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit just like what Peter and John did to bring healing to people in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Lots of time we have all kinds of fear so that we can not and are not willing to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit to pray for other people. Don't miss that chance! Lay hands and pray for people when you have that calling from Jesus. You can become a channel of healing if you are willing. It is Jesus, not you! But Jesus needs you to do what He wants you to do! Are you willing?

     

Dear Lord Jesus,

Thank you for how you call all of us to pray for Leslie and to witness the power of prayers that Leslie is being healed. Pour down your blood upon Leslie that he can be well completely. Lead us to be willing and to have the courage to exercise the gifts of the Holy Spirit that your Name will be glorified. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
