How wonderful and blessed it can be if we know God's purpose for our lives. Why? Because we do not need to waste more time to do those things not according to God's purpose and we can focus our lives working more on God's purpose for us.

Bishop N.T. Wright's says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright):
They did not choose God, but he chose them, in a mystery which Paul does not attempt to penetrate, either here or elsewhere.  Instead, he concentrates on that which God planned and purposed for them: that they should be shaped into the pattern or model of Jesus, the true 'image of God', becoming thereby genuinely human as they join the family as younger brothers and sisters of the truly human one.

N.T. Wright. Paul for Everyone:Romans: Part 1. Louisville,KY: Westminster John Knox Press, 2004, p.156.

The only purpose God created us is going back to his original plan: the true 'image of God'. Jesus came to help us to get back to God's original plan. Only if we can follow Jesus more closely we can be more like Him. Christlikeness is the key and God's purpose for you. How are you becoming more like Jesus lately?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: God's purpose for you

What I got from Jesus today is very interesting. Why? Because Romans 8:28 is perhaps one of the most used Golden verse in the Bible. Whenever we know that someone is doing something in our own way and thought, we will use this verse to encourage them that we are working together for God's purpose.

But, lots of time we miss the most important purpose here in this verse. The only purpose God planned and leads us to be is just one word "Christlikeness". What is 'the good"? The good is God will lead us to work together to be more like Jesus. To copy and paste that model that you can find in the Bible and your daily walking with Jesus. Then, God's name will be glorified!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to use all we have to work together with our brothers and sisters to be more like you so that your purpose on us will be fulfilled and your name will be glorified.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
