      We learn from yesterday's passage that God's purpose for our lives is to be more like Jesus - Christlikeness. Today, Paul is trying all his best to tell us there is nothing or no one can stop us from being more like Jesus. 

Bishop N.T. Wright's says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright):
     Four times the question is asked, and each time the implied answer is resounding. Who is against us? No one; God, after all, has given us his son and will give us all things with him.  Who will bring a charge against us? No one; God himself has justified us, has already declared us to be in the right. Who will condemn us? No one; Jesus has died, been raised and exalted, and intercedes for us.  Who shall separate us from his love? No one; this time there are many contenders that might try, but the note of victory sounds out.  Nothing in all creation can separate us from the love of God in King Jesus.

     What Paul says is all true. But, is it happening to you? Are you becoming more closer to Jesus each day?  Are you more like Him each day? If not, why? 

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

     What I heard from Jesus today is: Who can stop God's purpose for you? It's you!

    What I got from Jesus today is a very painful question and answer. This is the first time in my life I got that answer. Before that, the four questions in this chapter gives me challenges that nothing or no one can separate God's love from me. But, Jesus helped me to link up with my most favourite verses since yesterday. I linked up verse 28 with verse 35. Oh! It's not only about how we co-operate each others to do God's work. It's not only about how we need to understand there is nothing or no one can separate us from God's love. 

    IT IS ABOUT HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER TO BE MORE CLOSER TO JESUS, TO BE MORE LIKE JESUS!

    So, according to verse 28, we need to work together in unity so that we can be more like Jesus. And, God can work through us to have more people to be more like Jesus. And in verse 35, God is giving assurance to us that there is nothing or no one can stop God's purpose for us.

    The frightening thing I got today from Jesus is that there is only one can stop all this. It is not even Satan. It is you! You are the only one to stop God's purpose for you! You are the only one who can make a decision to stop going to church! Stop going to small group! Stop having daily devotion! You are the only one who can separate the love of Jesus with you! You are the only one who can stop God's purpose for you! 

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to humble ourselves to you, worshiping you as our King so that we would never make a decision to stop God's love and His purpose for us.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
