We learn from yesterday's passage that we are the only person that could stop God's purpose. Here in the beginning of this new chapter, Paul tells us his pain in a deep and affectionate way:
1. He is not lying and just telling the truth.
2. He is moved by the Holy Spirit to share that great pain.
3. He would rather be cut off from Christ than his kinsmen who should have that history and relationship with God but now being cut off.

How painful it is that you should have been living in the palace as a prince, princess, but now because of your rebellious being cut off from every promise. Why? Who's fault is it?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

What I heard from Jesus today is: Great sorrow and unceasing anguish for you

What I got from Jesus today is a very painful message. There are times that I ask myself, why some Christians suddenly cut off every single kind of relationship from Jesus, the church and their lives. Why? What a waste?

Yesterday the Holy Spirit moved my heart just like Paul experienced in today's passage to write an email to someone who cut himself off in a similar way as Paul describes. I was in great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart for him and I wrote him a message. He has not replied yet! Please pray for him!

"Being cut off" is such a word that Paul uses to show us how serious it can be. Remember, you are the only one who can stop God's purpose in you, not even Satan! Don't cut off your relationship with Jesus and the brothers and sisters of your church, please! It is such a waste to forsake all God's preparation, protection, promises, blessings and everything you should have but because of discouragement, anger, misunderstanding, burnout and bitterness you are being cut off from God's love!

Let's wake up and rise up to be a faithful disciple of Jesus to help more brothers and sisters to be connected into God's love and family again!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be always connected with you and your family that we would never be cut off.   In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
