Bible Study

      Paul talks about grace is more than our problems. But then in this passage he talks about how the Israelites reject that grace because they are hardened, stupor, blind and deaf. 

      Paul wished that one day some Israelites will accept what God has prepared for them and everything will be changed. 

Bishop N.T. Wright's says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright):
     Paul sees in their rejection the face of the rejected Messiah, and in his glorious resurrection the possibility that they, too, may be welcomed back again.  Let's give the story its proper conclusion, he seems to be saying.  Let's settle this old jealousy once and for all.  Once you learn to recognize God's hidden plan revealed in Jesus, all things are possible.

     Yes, when rejection becomes acceptance, when Jesus is Lord becomes a reality, all things will be well. 

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

     What I heard from Jesus today is: When rejection becomes acceptance

    What I got from Jesus today is to show us what happen in the world today is just like what it happened two thousands years ago. Rejection everywhere!

     Our younger son, Athan came in our bedroom telling us that his teachers told him today that there might be a teachers' strike in two days time and they do not have to go to school for some time. Strike, rejection, rebellious, hardened and more, it happen everywhere! Why not reconciliation, acceptance, love, forgiveness and mercy? Why? 

      When rejection becomes acceptance, everything will be well! 

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to taste the sweetness of reconciliation, acceptance, love, forgiveness and mercy and not the bitterness of rejection, hardened, stupor, blind and deaf.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
