Bible Study


      After 11 chapters, Paul comes to a conclusion that no matter you are Jews or Gentiles, we are all sinful and need salvation. We are all hardened and disobedient. We desperately need to understand of God's mystery of His salvation and His mercy. 

Bishop N.T. Wright's says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright):
     Paul insisted all along that all humans, Jews as well as Gentiles, are sinful, and that all who come into God's family must do so on the basis of sheer grace and mercy alone...What we are seeing in the present passage is in fact Paul's final resolution of the problem which is bound to occur when God decides to act for the salvation of the world through a people who are themselves part of the problem as well as the bearers of the solution.

     So, no matter who you are, we are all sinful and need God's mercy. Lord Jesus, have mercy of us! We desperately needs you, our Lord Jesus Christ! 

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"


Spiritual Journal

     What I heard from Jesus today is: We are all sinful

    What I got from Jesus today is a reminder that we are all sinful and we are all disobedient. So simple and so crucial. Why? Because if we can acknowledge that we would be able to humble ourselves always seeking for God's mercy. Through His mercy and forgiveness we will enjoy the power of His new covenant that we are in a new family that Jesus is our Lord.

     The reality is that we do not have many Christians in churches living that out. We have too many brothers and sisters who are hardened and disobedient not following Jesus as Lord but on contrary want to lord others making a mess to so many churches and denominations. 

     Let us ask God's mercy to forgive our sins so that we can be part of that team to build up a church that Jesus is Lord. Jesus is Lord, that's the only answer! 
Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to be able to help our church to become a lovely home and that you are our Lord.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
