Bible Study

Today's passage reveals the most important gift of all spiritual gifts and it is love. In the next chapter Paul explains in details what this gift is. Here in today's passage Paul clearly points out no matter who we are, what kind of position we have in our church or what kind of gifts we have, it is not so important. The most important thing in life is that if we have love, the greatest gift of all, so that we can well use our gifts to build up the body of Christ, our home church and beyond.

If you have really receive the gift of love, you would know what is love, experience love, cherish love and be able to love.

Do you think you have received the greatest gift of all already? If you have, what are those facts to prove that you have received the gift of love?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage of scripture we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

Spiritual Journal

What I heard from Jesus today is: The most important spiritual gift

What I got from Jesus today is a declaration of the most important gift we need to have. No matter what kind of gifts we have received, without the gift of love, we would soon be in great trouble or even in a mess.

It is so easy to talk about how important love is. It is so easy to tell ourselves that of course we have received that gift. But, is it really so?

Please ask Jesus yourself now if you really have received this gift. Please!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Open our eyes to see our true self whether we have received the gift of love. Help us to love in your way but not in our way.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
