If you have not read yesterday's blog, you need to do so now because this is the second part. Today's passage confirms what I received from Jesus yesterday of urging you to make two most simple and basic offerings: Daily devotion and tithing.

Let's take a look at what Professor John Goldingay says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Goldingay) :

Genesis does not tell us whether as the 150 days wore on, Noah and company wondered whether God had forgotten them in either of these senses.  It just tells us that a moment arrived when God indeed decided that enough was enough and was mindful of Noah.  Bringing about the flood was an act of un-creation; now God begins a process of re-creation.  Once again a wind passes over the waters that cover the earth as it did at the very beginning

Setting creation going again is taken further when the remnant of the original animate world leads the box once again to "be fruitful and numerous." God has made sure that samples of every species have survived, so that process can begin.
First, like Cain and Abel, but with happier results, Noah's instinct is to worship and he builds the first altar in Genesis so that he can do so properly. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses subsequently build altars, each time in connection with God's having done something special for them
When other people in Genesis offer sacrifice, perhaps these are also "whole offerings." but this is the only occasion where that is explicit except for the story of Abraham and Isaac in Genesis 22…If you wanted to make an offering to God because God had done something special for you, you would make a thank offering, not a whole offering.  This did not involve offering the whole animal but giving some to God and eating some together as a family in God's presence…The animals Noah offers, being pure animals, are ones that would be fine for Israelites to eat.  But Noah eats none of them.  His offering is indeed a sacrificial one.  He gets nothing out of it
Maybe that was partly why the smell of the sacrifice was pleasing to God.

Does God love the smell of your offering of your daily time with Him worshipping Him and your tithing or even more than your tithing, your whole offering?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

Spiritual Journal

The title I heard from Jesus today is: Does God love the smell of your offerings?

The message I receive from Jesus today is very important. Why? Because what I received yesterday from Jesus got confirmation today. From my research, there is less than 10% or even 5% of Christians are having daily devotion. And, every one know that there is less than 20% of Christians are having tithing.

But, daily devotion and tithing should be the most simple and basic requirement as a Christian. That is to live out "Listen, Obey and Worship".

This chapter is talking about "whole offering", that's far beyond tithing. When you are being renewed, the wind blows in you, you are being filled by the Holy Spirit and have a renewed relationship with God, then you will surely worship God and make a whole offering. And, God love the smell of your offering!

You can't do that because you do not have that kind of relationship with God. Ask the Holy Spirit to come so that He can tell you what happen in your life that you can't worship God and make offerings that God love. Only that, your life would be completely changed and you will be used by God to extend His mighty Kingdom!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to do the first thing first to learn how to listen, obey and worship you so that you will love the smell of our offerings. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
