Bible Study

     Yesterday's passage talks about the secret of bearing much fruit. Today we have the wonderful and powerful promise of God that we will become a blessing to all people if we allow God to be our master and we listen to Him as His true and humble servants. 

Let's take a look at what Professor John Goldingay says (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Goldingay) :

    

     God promises to bless Abraham and to make his name great.  God will ensure that he has a legacy.  God has surely done so, because there are few people better known in world history than Abraham.  He is the person who demonstrates the basic nature of the relationship with God that God invites us into.  Paul calls him the father of all believers (Romans 4:11).

      Do you know you will become a blessing? What have you brought to other people lately, blessing or cursing? Appreciation or criticism? Encouragement or discouragement?

    The title I heard from Jesus today is: You will become a blessing

    The message I receive from Jesus today is an assurance if we can truly have that kind of relationship with God as master and servant.

    The sad reality is that from what I have seen all around the world is not that. Everybody wants to become the master, the boss lording other people. I have seen too much criticism, discouragement, division, destruction rather than appreciation, encouragement, unity and construction. I have seen too much cursing but not blessing! It's because of that many people can not finish well. But God promise we will have a legacy. Do you believe that will happen to you?

    Let's become a blessing to other people! 

Dear Lord Jesus,

Help us to become a blessing to other people and to become a legacy. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
