Bible Study

What kind of training did the Israelites had to be qualified as God's mighty army. Today's passage seems a kind of very tough armies training - total obedience for all Israelites. Not a single one out of those two million people say NO to God's command.

When that happen, they finally became God's army and ready for the warfare that is coming along in a short while.

It appears two times to tell us that "All the Lord's divisions left Egypt." (verse 41 and 51.) Two millions army of God in perfect divisions. How wonderful!

How do you know that you are in one of the divisions of God?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

The title I heard from Jesus today is: Becoming God's army

What I receive from Jesus today is a checkup time to see if you are in one of God army's division. A division usually led by a general, consists of around 10,000 soldiers. It is surprising to see how God used Moses and Aaron to train the Israelites through tough choices and exercises to become army of God and in designated divisions.

The first stage training to become soldiers of God should be daily devotion and tithing. If you can't practice these two most basic requirements, I don't think you are one of God's soldiers!

If you can pass that first stage training to have daily devotion and tithing. The next stage should be to become a soldier with suitable rank in a division.

Are you willing to be in God's designated division? Who is your general, colonel, Major, Captain. What is your rank? Are you willing to be under authority? Or, are you still a lone soldier?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to train by you becoming one of your soldiers and in your designated division.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
