耶 和 華 曉 諭 摩 西 說 ：
2 長 大 痲 瘋 得 潔 淨 的 日 子 ， 其 例 乃 是 這 樣 ： 要 帶 他 去 見 祭 司 ；
3 祭 司 要 出 到 營 外 察 看 ， 若 見 他 的 大 痲 瘋 痊 愈 了
4 就 要 吩 咐 人 為 那 求 潔 淨 的 拿 兩 隻 潔 淨 的 活 鳥 和 香 柏 木 、 朱 紅 色 線 ， 並 牛 膝 草 來 。
5 祭 司 要 吩 咐 用 瓦 器 盛 活 水 ， 把 一 隻 鳥 宰 在 上 面 。

第十三及十四章是有關如何處理痲瘋及皮膚病的問題。這些病可以是使人非常驚恐的,亦使人聯想到死亡。神想告訴他的子民知道他掌管生與死。在他裏面有完全的醫治及希望。

As we talk about God controls life and death and He brings healing in today's Leviticus 13-14, I witness a similar situation today. Michelle and I went to Florida two days ago to participate in the consecration of the Very Rev. Carl Buffington and the Very Rev. Gerald Schnackenberg as two new AMiA bishops. It was a glorious celebration yesterday. Today we went to Bishop Carl's church to participate in an ordination for two deacons as priests.
When the service came to the time of ordination and Bishop Edmund D Ahmoah from the Anglican Church of Ghana was reading the first line of the ordination part, a parishioner had an heart attack with his heart beat stopped. It was a holy moment when everyone was praying, including four bishops, many priests and deacons and the whole church of the New Covenant Church, Winter Springs, Florida. There were three nurses there using CPR and a defibrillator(AED). We heard the loud sound of a voice from the defibrillator to guide people to use that and we were singing, praying in an atmosphere full of peace. The new consecrated Bishop Carl stood next to me and he was praying and singing in a very peaceful mode. Ten minutes later two paramedic came in and in five minutes time the parishioner got his heart beat again and was sent to the hospital for observation. The whole church clapped hands when they saw what happened of how God gave peace to all of us in a crisis during an ordination.
After Bishop Carl and I received communion, I said, "Bishop Carl, I got a prophetic word for you, one word "resurrect". I feel that God is going to pour down His fresh anointing on you that you are going to raise up more priests for the Mission to resurrect "dead people". There are so many dead people walking around us." He said, "Wow! That is quite a prophetic word because the past 30 years since this church was found we have 23 people being ordained as priests." I asked, "How many years for you as the Rector of this church?" He said, "Twenty-two years."
May be you are boring and do not want to read todays two chapters. But, I think today God wants to tell you through what happened today at the New Covenant Church that He is in control of life and death, in Him there is healing and freedom. Let me share with some precious photos these two days.

A useful starting point for understanding Leviticus 13-14 is a story about Moses and Aaron's sister Miriam, in Numbers 12. Miriam gets afflicted by scaliness like the one these chapters are concerned with, and Aaron appeals to Moses…Moses cries out to God accordingly, and in due course she is restored…
Leviticus envisages an affliction that would come on a person only temporarily, and thus adds provision for restoring the person to the community when the affliction goes away. The ceremony deals with the affliction in two ways, offering a double reassurance to the person, the person's family, and the community. A bird is slaughtered as in a purification offering, to purify the person and give assurance that he or she is okay. Another bird is sent off as a way of expelling the affliction from the community and assuring everyone that it is gone.
