1. 求聖靈在你生命中工作
"親愛的聖靈, 求你光照我心靈的深處, 使我看見我的罪, 我和主耶穌的阻隔,
求你幫助, 奉主耶穌基督名求。阿們。"
2. 透過聖靈的工作, 安靜一刻, 省察自己, 之後祈禱:
「親愛的主耶穌，感謝你為我的罪釘死在十字架上，我願意在你面前承認我的罪（凡聖靈光照到的，請逐一說出），求你用你的寶血赦免我的罪，我願意打開心門讓你作我的救主，求你救贖我，我願意一生跟隨你讓你作我生命的主，求你帶領我。聖靈，求你充滿我，使我得著恩賜及力量去事奉主、見證主。奉主耶穌基督名求，阿們。」
聆聽主話 (撒母耳記下 12:16-25)
16 所 以 大 衛 為 這 孩 子 懇 求 神 ， 而 且 禁 食 ， 進 入 內 室 ， 終 夜 躺 在 地 上 。
17 他 家 中 的 老 臣 來 到 他 旁 邊 ， 要 把 他 從 地 上 扶 起 來 ， 他 卻 不 肯 起 來 ， 也 不 同 他 們 吃 飯 。
18 到 第 七 日 ， 孩 子 死 了 。 大 衛 的 臣 僕 不 敢 告 訴 他 孩 子 死 了 ， 因 他 們 說 ： 孩 子 還 活 著 的 時 候 ， 我 們 勸 他 ， 他 尚 且 不 肯 聽 我 們 的 話 ， 若 告 訴 他 孩 子 死 了 ， 豈 不 更 加 憂 傷 麼 ？
19 大 衛 見 臣 僕 彼 此 低 聲 說 話 ， 就 知 道 孩 子 死 了 ， 問 臣 僕 說 ： 孩 子 死 了 麼 ？ 他 們 說 ： 死 了 。

21 臣 僕 問 他 說 ： 你 所 行 的 是 甚 麼 意 思 ？ 孩 子 活 著 的 時 候 ， 你 禁 食 哭 泣 ； 孩 子 死 了 ， 你 倒 起 來 吃 飯 。
22 大 衛 說 ： 孩 子 還 活 著 ， 我 禁 食 哭 泣 ； 因 為 我 想 ， 或 者 耶 和 華 憐 恤 我 ， 使 孩 子 不 死 也 未 可 知 。
23 孩 子 死 了 ， 我 何 必 禁 食 ， 我 豈 能 使 他 返 回 呢 ？ 我 必 往 他 那 裡 去 ， 他 卻 不 能 回 我 這 裡 來 。

When God pours down His punishment, you do not want to know because it might be terrible. What happened to David is a classic example of what God would do if someone commit a serious sin. Yet, we can also see the grace of God in the midst of David's sin.

That God's action is a judgment on David is reflected in the way the story goes on to describe David's reaction to the boy's sickness. How can God be so stony hearted as to refuse to respond to David's fasting and prayer? "With difficulty," I guess is the answer. Often the Old Testament portrays God showing mercy when people do not deserve it. Indeed, this story is an example; David deserves to die for what he has done, and his continuing to live issues from God's grace…
Bathsheba's conceiving is a sign that God has not abandoned David and his line. At this point, David and Bathsheba do not know, but the readers of the story know, that the child she conceives is the person who actually will succeed David and in whom those promises in 2 Samuel 7 will be fulfilled. God's love for this child relates not to him as an individual but to the fact that he is the son who will eventually succeed David.

Lots of time we just want to know and to experience God's grace and do not want to think about God's act of punishment. How can the message of this passage give us enough warning before we dare to sin next time, that is the question? How can we enter into God's grace and love but not ignoring His grace and love to step into the trap Satan plans so well for us, that is another question?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to know that you have given us a warning today and may this warning serves as the alarm system in our house protecting us from Satan's stealing, killing and destroying. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
