DAY 40 (2017) - I Love Those Who Love Me (Please click here for English podcast)

Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word (Psalm 22:19-31; Proverbs 8:14-26; Exodus 29:1-30:10

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

      My Listening
When God says, "I love those who love me." What does He means?

Today God gives me another passage to go with Proverbs 8:17:
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
May they be secure who love you!

Four years ago when Michelle and I had a study trip to the Holy Land, I forgot to kill the Land! This time, I was called to kiss the Holy Land once I step on the ground!

"To love God" today for me means to kiss the Holy Land once I stepped on the ground because that was a call for me the past two years when I started to plan this study trip with Rev. Yiu Tong Chan.

"To love God" to quite a number of Jews that we saw in the airport is that they wore what the Bible commanded them to wear on their head and on their arm of the greatest commandment Moses gave "Listen, O Israel...love God with all your heart, your mind, your soul and your strength." And they read the Bible while doing that and they bowed frequently when they said the name of God. Bow, and bow and bow. That was quite a scene in the airport of Paris while waiting to go to Israel. And, you can see the pictures I took below of this wonderful scene of loving God for generations and generations!!!

"To love God" for quite a number of us is to offer our daily First Fruit at 6am.

"To love God" for me today and the assignment I received from today's four passages is:
      Offer our daily First Fruit.
      Don't sleep! Don't be lazy!
If we do that, God promised to be with us and to speak to us daily!!!
Wow! This is happening to us daily now!
      Praise the Lord!

So, what is "to love God" means to you?
How do you claim God's Promise of "I love those who love me."

      Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to know what do you mean by loving you and that we really love you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

 Reflect on these questions:
     1. How do you love God? Do you think you way of loving God is what God wants you to love Him?

2. How can you love God according to the call of God who wants you to love Him?

     3. What have you got from Jesus today?

     Let us praise the Lord:
