DAY 75 (2017) - Willing to Be A Learner Driver, Willing to Be Christlike (Please click here for English podcast)

Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

       My Listening
The assignment from the Lord to me today is that "Willing to be a Learner Driver, Willing to be Christlike".

Michelle and I participate in Toronto Emmanuel Church's Time with Abba this morning and it was such a wonderful and blessed experience!

Dr. Sai Kui Lee shared with us about how important it is for us to be willing to be more Christlike. When he spoke, I received a picture of a Learner Driver's plate. What I got is that we need to be willing to become "learner driver" again as often as we can so that we can learn more about how to be Christlike and how to glorify God.

Today's Luke reminds us of the secret of receiving real peace and that is to glorify God. When God is being gloried, God is pleased and peace will pour down on us.

Simeon's experience gives me a good hint of how to glorify God:
         1. Holy Sprit on you
         2. Holy Spirit reveals to you
         3. Moved by the Holy Spirit and act right

If you really are willing to live that out and the result and fruit is that you can see what God wants you to see and say what God wants you to say.

May we be willing to become a Learner Driver daily to allow God to teach us how to do God's work so that we can glorify His Name.

      Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to become a Learner Driver learning under your guide each day. Amen.

      Reflect on these questions:
    1. How do you feel about my catch of the vision of a "Learner Driver"?

2. Are you willing to put that "L" plate on again so that you can learn each day from Jesus and that you can glorify His Name and to be able to see and act?

     3. What have you got from Jesus today?

        Let us praise the Lord:
