Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening

The message I received today from our Lord Jesus Christ is  "Only Jesus can lead you to enter into God's rest"

After the past two days warning us and reminding us of how God sends His prophets give us warning, today we have the purpose of the warning of God's prophets.  I have received three main messages:

    1.  The purpose of the warning of God's prophets is for us not to be destroyed (Psalm 119:89-96)
Today's Psalm reminds us of the importance of God's faithfulness and His word. If not for His presence and His word being our delight, we would long time been perished in the midst of the destruction of the wicked work of the Devil and our own sins.

2. The purpose of the warning of God's prophets is for us to know what would happen if we rebel against God and reject His word (Ezekiel  5:5-13)
See how God commanded Ezekiel in five steps to symbolized the destruction of Jerusalem and God's people! Terrible! See how difficult it is for Ezekiel to obey God's command to say what God wanted him to say. Horrible! And listen to the message of Ezekiel, if you were those people, would you listen and repent?

 3. The purpose of the warning of God's prophets is for us to let Jesus to lead us into God's rest (Hebrews 4:8-16)
I counted the word "rest" ten times from Hebrews 4:1 -11. Ten times! There is no rest without Jesus and Jesus is the one who is the Word!

As in conclusion of my catch today I have been thinking of what St. Augustine wrote in his book "Confessions":
"You made us for yourself and our hearts find no peace until they rest in you."

May we find and experience true rest, God's rest each day because we are willing to approach God's throne of grace with confidence and then we can be able to enter into God's rest!

      Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to approach God's throne of grace with confidence so that we can be able to enter into Your rest. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

     Reflect on these questions:
     1.  How can the three points of message today give you a hint to know the purpose of the warning of God's prophets and servants?

   2. How difficult it is for you to enter God's throne each day to praise Him and worship Him?

     3. What have you got from Jesus today?

Let us praise the Lord:
