Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
Today passages give me a very sad, painful but encouraging message from our Lord Jesus Christ to me, and hopefully to you all!
See how everything is done in 1 Samuel that God acted because David knew to ask God first and then to ask God through God's priest, four times totally! And God acted, David won a big war, he saved the city and people of Keilah and God sent the Philistines to attack Saul and he turned back!
All is so good, except...
How sad and painful it is that those people David save were about to betray him!!! How could they do such thing?
If you have been betrayed by people you helped, saved and loved, you know what I mean! How could those people in Keilah betrayed David like that? Yes, they will do it because if they did not do that they will be slaughtered and no one will live! If you watch the recent movie "Silence" and you know human beings are so weak when we come to life or death decision!
I still remember my wife Michelle asked our son in 2009 when he completed a three years discern and decided that the Lord called him to become an Anglican priest. Michelle said, "Do you know how your dad has been through the past so many years and you still want to become an Anglican priest?" Iggy replied, "Mom, I have prepared!"
I hope and pray that you won't betray your priest(s) who have helped you, saved you and healed you but to help, support and pray for your priest(s)!
Don't worry! God knows! You need to enter into that relationship as describes by Jesus today in John 10: 1-21. Jesus' sheep know and listen to His voice. He leads, we follow, listen and obey. Everything will be fine!
2. How can you be encouraged by today's encouraging message?

The assignment from the Lord to me today is "Don't forget to ask God".
Today passages give me a very sad, painful but encouraging message from our Lord Jesus Christ to me, and hopefully to you all!
Can you imagine how desperate it was with David and describes in today's Psalm 70:1-5, "confusion", "hasten, O God, to save me", "Come quickly, Lord, to help me". Ask the Lord to do something so that his enemies could "turn back", God is his "help" and deliverer".

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to experience what David and you experienced and trusting that you will act because you are our Help and Deliverer. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Have you thought of those you helped, saved and loved would betray you just like they betrayed David and Jesus?
2. How can you be encouraged by today's encouraging message?
3. What have you got from Jesus today?
