Silence
40 Days Break.Build daily devotion:
Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
The topic I received from Jesus is: "Listen to your mentor, success and prosper; Arrogant, self destruction"
The message today actually is the second part of yesterday's message. So, if you have not read yesterday's blog, please read it now.
Yesterday we talked about how King Amaziah's father King Joash had Jehoiada as his mentor and he did good, but when his mentor died, he messed up and was assassinated by some of the rebel, sad!
Today we have the same situation, Joash's son Amaziah had Joash as his role model and how his father died as his warning so he did well. But, once he thought he was top No. 1 and wanted to fight the king of Israel due to his pride, he was assassinated by his own leaders, same as how his father died, sad! As in today 2 Kings 14:10 the king of Israel Jehoash told Joash, "You have indeed defeated Edom and now you are arrogant. Glory in your victory, but stay at home! Why ask for trouble and cause your own downfall and that of Judah also?"
Amaziah did not listened and he was defeated by Jehoash and then assassinated by the rebel.
I sincerely hope and pray that you have learned the lesson that you have to listen to what your mentors word of wisdom so that you will prosper and will never have your downfall!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for sending those mentors to raise me up to be your faithful disciples. Help me to listen to their advice so that I can prosper and not to have my downfall. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Do you think you have listened carefully to the advice of your mentors and willing to follow those advice?
2. How can you pray to Jesus now to send you His tailor-made mentor(s) so that you can do what is right in God's sight?
3. What have you received from Jesus today?
Praise and Thanksgiving
