Please click this link to read 1 Corinthians 15:

"Where, O death, is your victory?
Where, O death, is your sting?"
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15: 55- 58

What I heard from Jesus today is: Victory over death through Christ!
Wow! I just completed my original blog on Job 14 and the title is "I want to die!". Job in the deep pain of his sufferings wanted to die and asked God to take him away. There are quite a number of people want God to take them away when they are in the deep pain of sufferings. This post seems the second part and the answer to that one. Incredible! Praise the Lord!

Paul clearly gave us to secret to win the sting of death. Only our Lord Jesus Christ can lead us, embrace us, hold us and walk with us to win death or all kinds of sufferings. So, just as Paul says, stand firm and let nothing move you. God loves you and know your pain. He is the only one who can help you to win death and to break the power of sin.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to stand firm and let nothing to move us. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

He was surrounded by his longtime secretary Frances Whitehead and close friends who read Scriptures and listened to Handel's "Messiah" when he passed.

Please click this link to read 1 Corinthians 14:

Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. 1 Corinthians 14: 39-40

What I heard from Jesus today is: Order please!
The problem of Christians in Corinth was not speaking or not speaking in tongues, or singing or not singing in tongues. The problem was when they exercised those spiritual gifts it brought chaos, confusion and misunderstanding.

Our team of four people from Richmond Emmanuel Church witnessed a very good example of how to exercise the spiritual gift of singing in tongues. Bishop Sandy Millar gave all the participants of 160 Archbishops, bishops and 1,500 participants during the demonstration of how to do the Alpha Holy Spirit weekend a powerful and simple example. He said, "Let's practice the spiritual gift of singing in tongues. For those who have received this gift just follow me." Then he started with the singing in tongues and I saw and heard most of the participants joined in with powerful singing. Beautiful and powerful! And it was in a fitting and orderly way. A glorious way indeed!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to have the courage to exercise our spiritual gifts and in a fitting and orderly way. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Please click this link to read 1 Corinthians 13:

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13: 1

What I heard from Jesus today is: Why we can't love?
This chapter is perhaps one of the most favourite chapters in the Bible and is being called "The Chapter of Love". Michelle and I read the whole chapter in our wedding July 13, 1985 at our home parish, Holy Trinity Church Hong Kong(now Holy Trinity Cathedral). This is the most read reading for wedding. And yet, today I got a different message from what I used to think about this chapter.

What I got is that this is a chapter to challenge us why we can't love and not how we can love. Paul wanted to give a clear and firm message to the Christians in Corinth to cure their self-centerness and pride. They got all kinds of powerful spiritual gifts but they could not love. They were impatient, not kind, always envy, boast, proud, rude, self-seeking, easily angered, kept all kinds of record of wrongs, delighted in evil, no protection, no trust, no hope and no perseverance. How could that be? Well, that was what was happening in that Church.

Please make a spiritual check-up today to see how you are doing as a Christian according to this chapter!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to love and to show the fruit of love in our daily living. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Please click this link to read 1 Corinthians 12:

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 1 Corinthians 12: 7

What I heard from Jesus today is: Exercise your Spiritual gifts!

In this chapter Paul wanted those who read his letter to know three things:
1. To know various spiritual gifts(vv. 7-11): gift of wisdom, gift of knowledge, gift of faith, gift of healing, gift of prophecy, gift of discernment, gift of speaking in tongues, gift of interpretation of tongues.

2. To exercise those given gifts(vv. 12-26): We need to exercise those given gifts as all the parts in a body move.

3. To well use of your part(vv. 27- 30): We need to know which part the Lord gives us in His body and do it well.

How well are you exercising your spiritual gifts recently?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to exercising our spiritual gifts to build up your body and to honor your Holy Name. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Please click this link to read 1 Corinthians 11:
What I heard from Jesus today is: Follow my lead, receive my instruction

Today's devastating situation for quite a number of churches is no one is willing to listen to instructions. It's so difficult to have an all agreed strategy for the whole church. Leaders are not teachable! Many pastors are either not under the authority of superiors, or do not want to be under authority. Who can say like Paul, "Follow my lead, receive my instruction"?

This is sad! Why? If we are at war with another nation, and soldiers, captains and generals are like this, what would happen? You need to know that we are at the most severe spiritual warfare ever in human history. We have lots of soldiers, captains and generals. But, lots of them are not teachable and are following no one.

Can we prepare ourselves to be willing in this chain of command and follow the lead of your leaders, listen and obey to their instructions. If you can do that, then you, your family, your church and your community will be richly blessed. And, some people will follow you.

And, the most important things is we only follow those who follow the example of Jesus like what Paul said and did. And people following you is because you are willing to follow Jesus examples.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be willing to follow our leaders lead and to receive instructions from them. And most of all, help us to follow you daily. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Please click this link to read 1 Corinthians 10:

These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. 1 Corinthians 10: 11- 13

What I heard from Jesus today is very, very important: Satan has limited tricks! But, only God can win over him!

Here are those messages I got from Lord Jesus:
1. Satan got only limited tricks: money, sex and power. You should know what is right and wrong through the examples and warnings in the Bible.
2. Don't think you can stand firm and win over Satan!
3. Only God can win over Satan and let you see the way out. You as human beings do not have the ability to see the way out.
4. Your relationship with God decides everything, win or lose, rise or fall, live or die!

Wow! Is that helpful? Thank you Jesus!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for giving us the secret not to fall and to win over Satan. Help us to know that only you can give us the way out. Come, Holy Spirit come, help us to know that only you can break the power of sin. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. 1 Corinthians 9:22-23

What I heard from Jesus today is: How long ago did you save someone?

Today I got only one question and message from Jesus challenging you of your spiritual status. The only thing to test whether you are just enjoying your church life as a "club" is whether you have tried all your best to lead your non-Christian relatives and friends to Jesus.

Not only just bring them to the worship and activities of your church but be willing to be a discipler to help them to grow in Christ. At least on their first stage before they can be connected to their small group.

The fact is, many Christians have all kind of reasons not leading their relatives and friends to Jesus and to their churches. Even if they do bring someone but they do not want to be disciplers connecting them to Jesus and the church. How about you?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to be able to try all my best to save someone as often as we can. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
