The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature. Romans 13: 12-14
What I heard from Jesus today is: Put off deeds of darkness!
We arrived in Hong Kong yesterday night visiting our family. I was shocked when I heard the top news in Hong Kong today was about a top political leader and Christian leader was caught in an sexual immoral act that caused him to resign last night.
It's so easy for us as Christians to say that we need to put on the armor of light but in reality lots of people including Christians are living in the deeds of darkness. This chapter states very simple and straight what is darkness: orgies, drunkenness, sexual immorality, debauchery, dissension and jealousy. Have you got one or more of those deeds of darkness? If you have this is a chance for you to repent and to be transformed by our Lord Jesus Christ. If not, some day it would be too late!!!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to put on the armor of light to fight against those temptation of darkness which seduce us to fall into the deeds of darkness. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Today is our 26th Wedding Anniversary. Ignatius took a wonderful photo for us today in Hong Kong to share our joy of thanking the Lord for our blessed marriage!
By the way, I used "Somewhere in times" as background music today because this is our song as our first date in 1981 was to watch the movie "Somewhere in times"! Thank you Lord for giving me Michelle!
