But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. 1 Corinthians 7: 8-9
What I heard from Jesus today is: Don't burn yourself with sexual passion!
Satan does not have any new tricks but only three: money, sex and power. You step into any of this and you might it would become an addiction that you cannot pull out. Paul was talking about the situation in the Church of Corinth. They got lots of sexual immorality even though they were Christians.
The problem is when people do not have Jesus as Lord and there is always something lording them. One of those lording force is sexual passion and so many people are being burned with sexual passion. Paul was talking about how we can have a good marriage to avoid burning ourselves with this kind of sexual passion so that Satan does not have a way to destroy us. Have you got it? How do you do about with this important warning and message?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to follow your lead us our Lord of life and that we are not going to be burned with sexual passion to fall into the trap of the devil. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
