And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5: 2- 5
What I heard from Jesus today is: Rejoice in our sufferings!
Jesus opened my eyes to see how a coach trains an athlete to run a race. It is always a time of suffering to go through harsh and tough training. But when the trainee is willing to listen and follow his coach's instruction and prepares well. Then there is nothing can compare with when he stands in front of hundreds or thousands of people receiving the gold medal.
Is that the same way God trains us through hardship and sufferings to be a faithful disciple of Him for His own glory. Only if you are willing to be under those kind of severe training that you can taste the sweetness of the gold medal given by our Lord in His time!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to rejoice in all kinds of hardship and sufferings and know that you are the best coach . In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
