Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 1 Corinthians 1: 26
What I heard from Jesus today is: Being called
The problem of the church in Corinth was one word: pride. Those Christians and their leaders boasted of their gifts from the Holy Spirit was special and they were better than the others. Right in the first chapter to address their problem Paul told them they were all wrong.
God always calls those who are humble and weak and raise them up so that no one can boast. If we are called by God and willing to respond to His call then first we must be in Christ to become righteous, holy and that Jesus is our Lord and Savior.
Do you know you are being called by God? Are you willing to say YES to His call today?
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are our King, our Lord and our Savior. Help us to say YES to your call. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
