Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Reflect on these questions:
My Listening
The message I received today from our Lord Jesus Christ is "They are a rebellious people! I have made you a watchman, give them warning from me!"
Today's four passages are full of warning as well as encouragement. In fact, the message in today's Ezekiel is so good that I did not know that the reading should stop at verse 15 but I went on to the end of chapter 3, and so be it. I have received three main messages:
1. They are a rebellious people (Ezekiel 3:26, 27)
The word "rebellious people" appears many times in today's passages from Ezekiel and Hebrews. Are you willing to admit that you also belong to those rebellious people just like the Israelites in Moses time, Ezekiel's time, Hebrews' time and now? I admit that, how about you?
Now, if you admit that you are one of those rebellious people, then God wants to use today's message to give you a way out.
2. I have made you a watchman (Ezekiel 3:16)
God sends his watchmen to give us warning. Lots of time we do not listen and we do not want to listen because we are stubborn, rebellious and our hearts are hardened, callous!
3. Give them warning from me (Ezekiel 3: 18-19)
On the other hand, if you are a watchman appointed and anointed by the Holy Spirit, do you think you have the guts to speak to the one God wants you to give warning to? Lots of time I swallowed that because I do not want to lose a friend. Only if I am very sure that if I do not speak God will punish me severely as it says in today's Ezekiel. To have the courage to give God's warning to other people is a very, very hard lesson to learn!
Are you willing to listen to God's appointed watchmen?
Are you willing to have the courage to become God's watchmen?
As in Hebrews 3: 13:

4. In order to be able to give them warning, you need to "eat" God's Word
Yes, that's the only way to be able to serve God as His watchman. How much time do you have in a day to "eat" God's Word? Without ample time to "eat" God's Word, I do not think that you are able to listen to God's watchmen's warning and guiding. Without ample time to "eat" God's Word. I do not think that you are able to become a watchman for God?
Are you willing to listen to God's appointed watchmen?
Are you willing to have the courage to become God's watchmen?
As in Hebrews 3: 13:
"But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called "Today," so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness."
Let's encourage one another daily in the way God wants us to encourage, even to have the guts to give people warning from God!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Soften our hardened hearts so that we are able and willing to listen to those watchmen of yours. Lead us to be willing to eat your Word and be with you each day that we can receive fresh anointing from the Holy Spirit to fulfill a watchman's duty to warn, protect and guide. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. How difficult it is for you to identify whether someone is speaking God's warning to you? How willing are you to receive those warning?
2. How can have more courage so that you are willing to be appointed by God to be His watchman?
2. How can have more courage so that you are willing to be appointed by God to be His watchman?
3. What have you got from Jesus today?
Let us praise the Lord:
