But, nowadays many people do not want to be under any kind of "Chains of Commands", doing things on their own way and make a big mess!
My Listening
The topic I received from Jesus today is: ""I am with you", not "I will be with you" "
Today I have a very strong new catch to a very familiar passage of Matthew 28:16-20 "The Great Commission"!
This new catch is actually one word "I am"!
Before today, my focus on "The Great Commission" is on the word "Go and make disciples of all nations", then if we do it, the gift is "God with you", "Emmanuel"!
The reality is that many Christians are not able to "go", no strength and no heart to "go" and "do it". The reason is without the "I am"!
The reality of "I am" is really so important!
"God with us" if not a present tense but a future tense, then "the Great Commission" would become a conditional sentence! This is what I used to think of: you need to make disciples in order that God will be with you to the very end of age!
Oh! I was wrong!
Without the "I am", you can not live out "the Great Commission", right?
If you have the presence of God now, everyday, every minute and every second, the other three passages in today's Psalm, Exodus and Proverbs will happen to you:
1. Psalm 25:8-15
You will walk in God's "Good" and "upright"ways，and not the "bad" and "unrighteous" ways of the sinners, because God guides and teaches you everyday.
2. Exodus 38:21-23
You are willing to be under the "Chains of commands"prepared and commanded by God，just as He commanded Moses, then Moses commanded the Levites, then the Levites commandeded Ithamar, then Ithamar commanded Bezalel, then Bezalel commanded Oholiab.
3. Proverbs 9:9-10
Proverbs 9:10 is one of the Golden verses in the Bible that many Christians love. Would you like this verse is how to describe your whole life?
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
In fact, many Christians leaders have made a warning for a long time that "The Great Commission becomes the great omission "!
Oh! The Holy Spirit reminds me and you today is the cause of this "omission" is because the "I am with you" is being taken out! Lots of Christians do not have a "I am with you" moment everyday!
May you have the presence of God, that "I am", that you have the strength, the anointing and the gifts to make disciples for Jesus!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to experience your presence, your being with me, that I can have the strength, the anointing and the gifts to make disciples for you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
