Silence
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
1 Peter 5:7-10
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening The topic I received today from Jesus is: How can you get over with unexpected disaster?
Today's 1 Peter 5:7-10 tells us how to get through: 1. You need to know that Satan wants to make use of disaster to eat you alive like a lion, to make you not to trust God anymore and to pull you out of your church and make you a loner.
2. You need to know that God wants to make use of disaster to strengthen you, and that to be more closer to Him and to have a full participation to your church life.
3. What you need to do is like a soldier to be alert and sober at all time, do not let the enemy to sneak in and destroy your whole company of soldiers.
4. You are not able to bear all those heavy burden in the time of disaster, you are not able to win over Satan. You need to cast all your anxiety on Jesus. You need to have more time to be with Jesus, praising and praying needs to be your new daily lifestyle.
Dear Lord Jesus, Come and help us each day that we won't step into Satan's trap to pull us away from you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
8 Be alert and of sober mind.
