Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
3. Sing a song to praise God (you are welcome to use "Father, I adore you" which I have been singing every morning for the past 20 years or your own choice to praise God)
Father, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
Jesus, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
Spirit, I adore You, lay my life before You, how I love You.
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 148:1-6, Zechariah 12:1-13:9; Revelation 19:1-21; Proverbs 31:1-7)
Today's main passage:
Then a voice came from the throne, saying:
“Praise our God,
all you his servants,
you who fear him,
both great and small!”
Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting:
“Hallelujah!
For our Lord God Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and be glad
and give him glory!
For the wedding of the Lamb has come,
and his bride has made herself ready.
Fine linen, bright and clean,
was given her to wear.”
(Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)
Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”
Revelation 19:5-9
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening
The topic I received today from Jesus is: Blessed, holy, ready to attend the wedding supper of the lamb
Revelation 19 prophecies the time God destroys Satan's work on earth has come and God shows forth His hand to defeat the beast and all those wicked rulers!
And at that moment, we can see the glorious scene in heaven of how the 24 elders, angels and archangels praising God for our Lord God Almighty reigns!
And, those who wear the fine linen, white and bright robes who live a holy life are ready to enter into this glorious moment to attend the wedding supper of the lamb!
Today, after a 28 hours journey from Vancouver I am in Kota Kinabalu now ready to attend Archbishop Yong's Celebration of Life this Friday, 10am at All Saints Cathedral and the viewing tomorrow. Our dearest Archbishop Yong had been preparing for that day to come and he was ready and is now in the most glorious eternal heavenly home!
Are you ready?
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to receive your promise that we are willing to live a holy life to wear that fine linen, white and bright to be ready to attend this glorious moment to your eternal heavenly home. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now?
2. What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus?
