Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16: 13 -14
What was Paul's last word to the Corinthians? Just one word - LOVE. Do everything in love. Yes, those Corinthians had lots of spiritual gifts but they did not have love and things collapsed when there was no love. Paul told them to be on guard so that Satan could not have a chance to come in and stole their love away. They needed to stand firm in the faith because without that they would be having a shallow or even a hollow lives. They needed to be courageous and strong so that they could confront with those things went wrong.
For John Stott, his last word is Christlikeness. And for Paul, his last word is love. If you have a lifestyle of Christlikeness then you can love more. And if you can love more than you can be more and more like Christ. Pray that you can live everyday's life like that.
Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to have a lifestyle of Christlikeness and that we can love more. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
** In memory of Uncle John I am going to use the complete version of Handle's Messiah as the background music for my podcast starting today.
