What I heard from Jesus today is: Don't be enslaved again!
Wow, Jesus gave me a vivid picture of the difference of two Kingdom! If we are being set free by Jesus then we are working with Him to extend His Kingdom. It's like the picture Ignatius took in Ethiopia two years ago above. It is exactly what Jesus means when he says:
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11: 28-30
So imagine you are one of the cow and Jesus is the other one bearing the same yoke to plow God's field and make it fruitful. Then you will bear much fruit as in John 15 of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, one fruit and nine lifestyles of Christlikeness.
But, it is always so sad that we do not want to take that yoke to plow God's field with Jesus. Lots of people rather bear the chain of a slave on their necks enslaved by the world, the devil or some other things. Then their lives would be filled with those sexual immorality, impurity...
Which yoke would you prefer to bear. Are you being set free by Jesus?
Why don't you say a prayer and ask Jesus to shine His light on you that you can see what kind of yoke you are bearing and who's on your side? Please do that and you'll know what I mean!
Dear Lord Jesus,
Shine you light on us that we are able to see what kind of yoke we are bearing and who is on our side plow the field. Also, help us to see what kind of field do we use all our time plowing. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
