DAY 216 (2017) - Not Partially Obey, but Total Obedience (Please click here for English podcast)

Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:

“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

My Listening
The assignment from the Lord to me today is  "Not partially obey, but total obedience"

It was a big shock to me this morning as I was copying today's Pslam. We are "the gods"! We like to sit on God's throne to judge other people but do not love those needy and poor. We like to sit on God's throne to read the part of the Bible we like to read and rarely complete reading the whole Bible in a year or never completely finish reading the whole Bible. We are just like those kings to put aside a part of the Bible they did not like as in today's 2 Chronicles!

May we not allow the devil to deceive our minds any more because we are just naive people but to be established by the Lord to be willing to proclaim the Gospel and be more and more Christlike!

      Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to admit that we intentionally or unintentionally become one of "the gods" judging other people, hurting our family, church and beyond. Lead us to confess our sins and be willing to let you be God. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

     Reflect on these questions:
     1. Do you know you have intentionally or unintentionally become "the gods" sitting on God's throne to judge other people?

2. What is your next step not to read the Bible partially but to follow our yearly Bible reading list to read the whole Bible year by year?

     3. What have you got from Jesus today?

     Let us praise the Lord:
