“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 127:1-5, Ezekiel 44:1-45:12; 1 Peter 1:1-12; Proverbs 28:8-10)
Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to those he loves.
Psalm 127:1-2
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening The topic I received today from Jesus is: Remember to claim God's promise to have sweet sleep each day!
There are more and more people unable to have good sleep and full of burdens due to too many worries!
Today's Psalm 127:2 is one of three verses that I use quite frequently to help people to have good and sweet sleep successfully.
So, if you cannot have good sleep, please try to use these three verses to pray and ask the Lord to grant His promise to you and I am sure He will listen to your prayers and give you sweet sleep!
In vain you rise early and stay up late,
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to those he loves. Psalm 127:2
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8
When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.Proverbs 3:24
Dear Lord Jesus, Help us to be sure that we are your dear children and that you promise us to protect us and we can have sweet sleep. Lord Jesus, we claim your promise to have sweet sleep. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.
toiling for food to eat—
for he grants sleep to those he loves.
toiling for food to eat—
Reflect on these questions: 1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now? 2. What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do? Family Corner: Find an opportunity to share with your family the importance of today's message.
