Bible Study

Paul concludes this book with a strong message of how faithful God is. What does we fear and who does we fear?

Bishop N.T. Wright says ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Wright ) :
The faithfulness of God, in fact, is one of Paul's great themes throughout his writing.  He has a good deal to say about the gospel message concerning Jesus the Messiah, but the most significant thing about Jesus is that in him the living God has put into effect his faithfulness to the entire creation, to Israel, and to each member of the human race.

N.T. Wright. Paul for Everyone:Galatians and Thessalonians. Louisville,KY: Westminster John Knox Press, 2004, p.134.

If you are really sure that God is faithful, what kind of change would that be in your life right now?

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe":  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmax47l2hLU

Spiritual Journal

The title I heard from Jesus today is: God is faithful, no fear!

What I got from Jesus today is a comfort and assurance of His faithfulness. It has been so difficult for the past many years to see the unfaithfulness of people around me. No matter what kind of good relationship, or I think that we have good relationship, in an instance it can vanish, vaporized. How can we deal with that kind of hurt?

But, Paul concludes this book saying that God is faithful and He will do what He promised to do. Are you afraid of something or someone today? Are you feeling insecure? Are you being hurt by some people?

It's all right! You can find true faithfulness in God but no one else. Why?Human weaknesses, that's why!

Remember, God is faithful, no fear! He will do what He promised you. Relax! Peace be to you!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Lead us to have a total trust in you so that we can experience your faithfulness.  In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
