DAY 352 (2019) - Do not fear! God is with you! You are in His love! (Please click here for English podcast)

Silence

1.   Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2.   Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.

Praise and Thanksgiving

1.   Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2.   Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people

Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)

1.  Pray for the Holy Spirit to shine on you that you are able to discover your sins and be willing to repent:

     “Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

2.  Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:

     "Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 143:7-12, Zephaniah 1:1-3:20; Revelation10:1-11, Proverbs 30:11-14)

    Today's main passages:
       “I will stretch out my hand against Judah
    and against all who live in Jerusalem.
I will destroy every remnant of Baal worship in this place,
    the very names of the idolatrous priests
         those who bow down on the roofs
    to worship the starry host,
those who bow down and swear by the Lord
    and who also swear by Molek,
         those who turn back from following the Lord
    and neither seek the Lord nor inquire of him.”
         Be silent before the Sovereign Lord,
    for the day of the Lord is near.
The Lord has prepared a sacrifice;
    he has consecrated those he has invited.    Zephaniah 1: 4-7

          Sing, Daughter Zion;
    shout aloud, Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
    Daughter Jerusalem!
    The Lord has taken away your punishment,
    he has turned back your enemy.
The Lord, the King of Israel, is with you;
    never again will you fear any harm.
    On that day
    they will say to Jerusalem,
“Do not fear, Zion;
    do not let your hands hang limp.
    The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
    but will rejoice over you with singing.”     Zephaniah 3:14-17

So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but ‘in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’” 10 I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth,but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. 11 Then I was told, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”   Revelation 10:9-11

 Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passages we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him.

    My Listening
      The topic I received today is: Do not fear! God is with you! You are in His love!

     Yes, this is the promise of God through Zephaniah to those who are being invited by God and consecrated by God!

     Are you being invited?

     Today's Revelation 10:9-11 gives us guidance of how we can be invited and being consecrated by God. It is 'Take the scroll and eat the scroll"!

     May you work hard on "eat the scroll" in the year 2020 and invite God to be with you and speak to you while you open your Bible to read. May your life by holy and that you can speak graciously to witness God's love!

     Dear Abba Father,
     Help us not to fear any more because we are willing to be with you and be sure that we are in your love each day. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Reflect on these questions:

1. What kind of inspiration and invitation have you received from today's message?

2. What is your next step to be willing to be with God and be in His love each day?
