Silence
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Then Solomon began to build the temple of the Lord in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the Lord had appeared to his father David. It was on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, the place provided by David. He began building on the second day of the second month in the fourth year of his reign.
2 Chronicles 3:1-2
Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Proverbs 19:21
2 Chronicles 3:1-2
Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passages we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening The topic I received today is: When we begin to build the temple for God, hope and pray that you will join us!
My catch today from Jesus is very special because He guided me to ponder on the word "begin to build", the words appears two times in 2 Chronicles 3:1-2!
Starting from King David wanted to build the temple for God recorded in 1 Samual 7:1-17 to today's passage of King Solomon really began to build the temple for God was 27 years. After that 27 years, King Solomon used 20 years to build the temple. Wow! A total of 47 years since David had the wish to the completion of the temple!
Dr. Sai Kui Lee of Toronto Emmanuel received a vision to build Vintage Garden Toronto senior condos project in 2002. We began to build in 2012, you can see the first picture of the ground breaking ceremony in 2012.
You can see the second picture of the first date of the moving in for residence of Vintage Garden 1 of 185 units in 2015 with a big and bright 180 degree rainbow covering the whole six acres land of Vintage Garden project!
Our Vintage Garden 2 completed in 2020, we had been waiting for 18 years from 2002 to 2020!
We, Richmond Emmanuel Church received from the Lord a vision to purchase a land and to build God's temple in 2002, but because of the leaving of the Anglican Church of Canada due to the blessing of same sex issue we were in "exodus" and could not do anything until in 2013 we receive "10,000 Reasons Campaign" that each member of REC make an offering of more than $10,000 , nine years ago. And, we had our building this month and we begin to design and renovate!
Today, Jesus gave me a revelation!
This revelation is that nine years to wait seems too long for us but in God, if he prepares for us to wait it is a time of preparation. Just like in David's 47 years time, or in the 18 years of Vintage Garden!
When can we begin to build depend on how we believe in God's word from today's Proverbs 19:21:
Many are the plans in a person’s heart,
but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.
May you have a part in our project when we begin to build the temple for Richmond Emmanuel Church now!
Dear Lord Jesus, Help us not to use human wisdom and plan to do your Kingdom project but to wait for your purpose and plan to reveal and we have a part in your building project. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen. Reflect on these questions: 1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch? 2. What is your next step?

We got the keys of our newly purchased three unites of 5,800 sq. ft. at President Plaza on June 30, 2022.
And, we have put in our Church Banner inside the front doors of two units on that day. A glorious day!
As Archbishop Yong shared with us a prophetic message seven years ago and we have been praying that his encouragement and prophecy will happen to us the past seven years, it happens!
When we asked him whether 9500 No. 5 Road is the Promised Land we have been waiting for since 2002, Archbishop Yong said, "The best has yet to come." Praise the Lord that the best has come to us now! Thank you, Archbishop Yong!
Thank you, Jesus!
