Anglican Mission in Canada and Richmond Emmanuel Church have launched MISSION 113 Campaign starting January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2026. We have received the baton from Archbishop Yong to continuous the call His Grace received in 1993 to bring more souls to God's eternal Kingdom! The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 45:1-9, Deuteronomy 11:1-12:32; Luke 8:22-39; Proverbs 12:4)
22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”Luke 8:22-25
Today's passage is about how Jesus calmed the storm. This should be a very familiar story to all Christians. But, the question is, are you so close to Jesus as that day when Jesus was in the same boat with his disciples. When time came, and Jesus rebuked the wind and the raging waters, the storm subsided and all was calm!
Are you on the same boat with Jesus each day?
No one knows when God will calm those darkness, fear and recession big storm, only God knows!
But, if you want Jesus to calm the storm in your soul being stirred up by all those troubles and sufferings, if you are not in the same boat with Jesus, how can it happen?!
Reflect on these questions: 1. What inspiration have you received from today's catch and what have you heard from Jesus now? 2. What is your next step to be more closer to Jesus, to be holy - that is to do what Jesus wants you to do and not to do what Jesus wants you not to do? Family Corner: Find an opportunity to share with your family the importance of today's message.
