Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
The assignment from the Lord to me today is "Walking before God and He will guard us at our back".
Today Jesus gave me a wonderful, powerful and inspiring message from all four readings!
That's how the US dollar got that word from today's Psalm "In God we trust". In fact, if all the Americans really live out "In God we trust", America will surely become a nation beyond our imagination!
2. Luke 19:29-36
The second message I've got from Jesus today is "Jesus needs you".
Jesus commanded his disciples to get him a colt which never used by anyone. And when anyone asked why, what they needed to say is very simple, "The Lord needs it."
What I received from Jesus today is that we need to invite new people to serve Jesus as a colt never use before. Statistically speaking, there is less than 10% to at most 20% of people in a church are serving and the other 80% are doing nothing but just enjoying the warm atmosphere of Sunday service or attend some courses. The 10% to at most 20% of people are usually burnout, feeling tired and asking "Why me again?"
If you are that 80% who are not gear in to serve the Lord in your church, this is the time Jesus wants to say to you, "I need you! Go to join your leaders to serve me!"
3. Joshua 20: 49-51
If we can live out the two messages I've got today then what in Joshua today will happen to us. We will receive our "allotted portions", "an inheritance" and we can "build up" our portions and "settled" there. We'll know our "territories" and God will surely extend our territories.
Do you want that to happen to you?
4. Proverbs 13:12-14
If you want that to happen to you, then you need just to claim God's promise of what today's Proverbs: "whoever respects a command is rewarded."
Today Jesus gave me a wonderful, powerful and inspiring message from all four readings!
1. Psalm 56: 9-13
Is it too bold or pride to walk before God and not following God?
I was thinking that when we meditated this morning during our 7a.m. worship. I was thinking of how Jesus commanded us to follow Him as His disciples. Then, what a surprise! Jesus showed me how I walked behind my grand-daughter Zoe to protect her from harm but to allow her to explore herself of what is in front of her. Teaching her to have no fear of what she is heading and at the same time giving her assurance that she will be protected.
That's why I put one of many pictures of Zoe walking in front of Michelle and Anna with Michelle and Anna watching and guarding her. That's how God is doing everyday to be with us and yet we do not know but live in fear and always feeling insecure. That's how the US dollar got that word from today's Psalm "In God we trust". In fact, if all the Americans really live out "In God we trust", America will surely become a nation beyond our imagination!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us to have the courage to walk before you and to raise up new disciples for you so that we can receive the reward you have promised to give to those who respect your command. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. Have you thought of "walking before God" is what God wants you to do? What kind of inspiration have you got from this message?
2. How can you respond to Jesus' invitation "I need you"?
2. How can you respond to Jesus' invitation "I need you"?
3. What have you got from Jesus today?
