Silence
1. Put on your “brakes” and stop for a moment of silence
2. Wait for God. Breathe deep for God's peace and feel His presence. Exhale your worries.
Praise and Thanksgiving
1. Think through your day, all the times that made you smile
2. Thank God for all those moments, and for all those people
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
Confession and Repentance (Subjective Shifting Devotion Method http://bishopsilas.blogspot.ca/2009/08/count-down-5-subject-shifting-devotion.html)
1. Pray for the Holy Spirit to work in you:
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
2. Through the Holy Spirit, examine yourself for a short silence and then pray:
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sin to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gift to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."

Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time up to Jesus as you listen to him, while listening to "Gabriel's Oboe"

My Listening
The assignment from the Lord to me today is "Be Still = Don't Quit, Let Go!"
The meaning of the Hebrew word "Be still" is actually "Don't quit" and "let go".
What I received from the Lord is that as in Deuteronomy 20:1-5 recorded the power of the presence of God in the midst of fainthearted severe warfare.
"For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory."
Now, if you quit, how can you experience that victory?
So, don't quit is the first step and the second step is to let go of all those things God wants you to let go, such as your fear, worries, panic ...
When you can listen to God's voice as what Jesus heard as in today's Gospel about the transfiguration, "This is my Son, whom I have chose, listen to him," that's what "be still" means because that's how Jesus met the Father and enjoy His presence.
May you enjoy His daily presence and never quit but to let go of those Jesus wants you to let go so that you can taste the sweetness of victory.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help us never think of quitting but to let go of those fear that might cause us to quit. Amen.
Reflect on these questions:
1. When was the last time you think about quitting, your job, your ministry, your church, your life...? Did you really quit? How can today's message helps you not to quit?
2. What are those things Jesus wants you to let go?
2. What are those things Jesus wants you to let go?
3. What have you got from Jesus today?
Let us praise the Lord:
