“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 105:23-36, Isaiah 33:13-36:22; Galatians 5:13-26; Proverbs 23:23)
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Galatians 5:16-26
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening The topic I received today from Jesus is: How can you have the fruit of the Holy Spirit?
I think many Christians want to have the fruit of the Holy Spirit, but how?
Oh! Actually, when we want to have something someone has, that's the problem!
If the king does not give us something he has, how can we have something of the king, right?
God is King of kings, how can we have the fruit of the Holy Spirit if the Holy Spirit does not give us?
If we are not willing to let the Holy Spirit to shine on us each day that we can be able to see our sins and be willing to confess, repent and die in our sins, some of those 15 sins would most probably be our lifestyle or habit!
If we are willing to let the Holy Spirit to shine on us each day that we can be able to see our sins and be willing to confess, repent and die in our sins, the fruit of the Holy Spirit will be our lifestyle and habit very naturally! And, if that life renewal really happens in our lives, the five lifestyle and habit will happen according to today's Galatians 5:16-26: 1. Walk by the Holy Spirit 2. Lead by the Holy Spirit 3. Live out the fruit of the Holy Spirit 4. Live by the Holy Spirit 5. Keep in step with the Holy Spirit
Are you willing to be filled with the Holy Spirit that you can live each day like that?
Dear Lord Jesus, Help us to be willing to listen and obey to your words, to follow you and to be filled with the Holy Spirit each day that we can live out the fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.
