“Dear Holy Spirit, shine your light into the places of darkness in my life. Show me my sins, everything that blocks me from encountering God and having Jesus as my Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
"Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins and being victorious over death and sin. I confess my sins to you(pause, to tell Jesus what the Holy Spirit has shown you). Forgive my sins by your blood and help me follow you. Holy Spirit, fill me that I may be able to receive your gifts to love God and His people. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen."
The Word, Time with Abba (Psalm 106:24-31, Isaiah 45:11-48:11; Ephesians 4:1-16; Proverbs 24:3-4)
This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your well-being like the waves of the sea.
The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue,
to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
Isaiah 48:17-18; 50:4
Let's have a time to be still and give the Holy Spirit space to speak through the passage we have just read. Offer this time to Jesus as you listen to him.
My Listening The topic I received today from Jesus is: Do you want to receive peace like a river?
Today's Isaiah 48:17-18 tells us God so want to give peace to His people like a river, if they are willing to listen and obey. But, they do not want to listen and obey, or listen but not obey, and the consequence is the fall of their own country!
Isaiah 50:4 tells us what does it mean by listen and obey to God. That is to have a teachable heart, to wake up in the morning to have Time with Abba and be able to listen to Him and obey. And, to deliver God's words to those who need so that they receive salvation and strength. That is what pay attention and obey God's command really means!
Dear Lord Jesus, Help us to be teachable that we can receive your peace like a river. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
your peace would have been like a river,
your well-being like the waves of the sea.
to know the word that sustains the weary.
He wakens me morning by morning,
wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
